UGC

Our College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. This recognition marks an important milestone in our academic journey, affirming our compliance with national standards and making us eligible for UGC-sponsored schemes and support.

Section 2(f):
This section defines the eligibility criteria for colleges to be recognized by the UGC. Institutions included under Section 2(f) are acknowledged as meeting the necessary academic and infrastructural standards, allowing them to apply for financial assistance. Recognition is granted after the submission and evaluation of a detailed proposal by the UGC.

Section 12(B):
Colleges recognized under Section 2(f) and declared fit under Section 12(B) become eligible to receive central assistance (UGC grants). These grants support a wide range of developmental and academic initiatives, including research, infrastructure, faculty development, and student welfare.

Importance of Recognition:
Being recognized under both sections is crucial for accessing UGC’s financial assistance across various approved schemes. It empowers the institution to enhance its academic offerings, invest in quality improvements, and contribute meaningfully to the higher education ecosystem.
