\nTime of Departure:<\/strong> 12:30 PM<\/p>\nIntroduction:<\/strong> On March 5th, 2024, the Excursion Committee of SPB English Medium College of Commerce organized an industrial visit to the Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (Surat Plant). The visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into industrial operations, particularly in the field of production and dispatching.<\/p>\nWelcome and Introduction:<\/strong> Upon arrival, we were cordially welcomed by Mr. Tiwari from the HR department. He graciously introduced us to key personnel, including Mr. Jatinder Sondhi, General Manager of the Maintenance department, and Mr. Dinesh K Patel, Mechanical Manager. Mr. Tiwari commenced the visit with an insightful presentation, offering a comprehensive overview of KRIBHCO’s operational methodologies and significance in the cooperative sector.<\/p>\nPresentation and Discussion:<\/strong> During the presentation, Mr. Tiwari elaborated on various aspects of KRIBHCO’s functioning, ranging from its organizational structure to its production processes. The session facilitated a deep understanding of cooperative models and the intricacies of managing a large-scale industrial operation.<\/p>\nPlant Tour:<\/strong> Following the presentation, the students and faculty members were treated to tea\/coffee and snacks, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and networking. This was followed by a guided tour of the plant, starting with the production unit where urea is synthesized from ammonia. This segment of the visit allowed students to witness first hand the sophisticated processes involved in fertilizer production.<\/p>\nDepartments Visited:<\/strong> Subsequently, the packing department was explored where the students observed how finished products are meticulously packaged for distribution. Here, students gained insights into packaging techniques and the importance of efficient logistics management in meeting market demands. We also visited the dispatching department, witnessing the seamless coordination of goods dispatch via railway for national distribution and trucks for local markets.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/strong>Lunch and Appreciation:<\/strong> Following the informative tour, students and faculty members were treated to a sumptuous lunch, arranged by the company. This provided an opportunity for further interaction and networking. Additionally, a group photo was taken with industrial personnel, commemorating the enriching experience.<\/p>\nAcknowledgments:<\/strong> We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Makwana, General Manager of the Human Resource Department, Mr. Jatinder Sondhi, General Manager of the Maintenance department, and Mr. Dinesh K Patel, Manager, for their hospitality and invaluable contributions throughout the visit. Their support and cooperation greatly enhanced the educational value of the excursion.<\/p>\nConclusion:<\/strong> The industrial visit to Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited’s Surat Plant proved to be a rewarding and enlightening experience for both students and faculty members. It provided practical insights into industrial operations and management practices, complementing theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom.
